Select Milk Producers, Inc. is one of the largest dairy cooperatives in the United States, founded in 1994 by family dairy producers in Texas. Headquartered in Dallas, the cooperative represents 99 family-owned dairy farms across Texas, New Mexico, and the Midwest, collectively producing and marketing over 6 billion pounds of milk annually. The cooperative's mission, "Setting a Higher Standard," reflects their commitment to excellence in milk quality, animal welfare, and environmental sustainability. All member farms participate 100% in the National Milk Producers Federation FARM (Farmers Assuring Responsible Management) Program. Select Milk has established valuable partnerships with premium brands including fairlife ultra-filtered milk (formerly a joint venture with Coca-Cola), Core Power high-protein shakes, and Fair Oaks Farms. The cooperative provides comprehensive services including guaranteed milk pickup, quality premium pricing, technical assistance, sustainability guidance, and access to cooperative dividends and equity participation. Recent developments include a 2024 joint venture with Westrock Coffee to build an aseptic bottling facility in Littlefield, Texas, and the 2021 acquisition of Mill Haven Foods for enhanced product development capabilities.
